It’s always a pleasure to work with you both Bernie and Paula. Sorry if we blew the budget a bit. Thats what happens when you add a 14’x14’ cedar deck lol. Simple economics. You cant take it with you when you go.

You have carved out a lil piece of heaven there and we will always be here ready to assist you with all your construction needs or just swing by for a game of washer toss.
You are no longer our clients. You’re part of our family. Working beside you daily Bernie waiting for Paula’s beautiful smile to come around the corner with coffee and her wonderful baking and cooking goods made our time there feel like a vacation instead of work. 🤫 I think we should be paying you for such a great experience.

Oh btw. As fun as it was to build the curved stairs. It’s a cautionary tale about time commitment.
Learning new skills and adding words to our vocabulary. Lignins, hemicellulose, phase transition, moisture plasticization. It was fun. We did it with the worst wood to be bent via steam method. I also got a great refresher on grade 6 mathematics. Diameter, radius, arc, sector, sagitta, chords. Man that was fun. Next time I’ll start with the math. I was winging it but we got the 60 deg swing arc and I worked backwards to determine everything else. The sagitta and the pitch angles. I want to know why when I build. We were spot on within a degree. 30 deg inner pitch angles 15 deg outter. The sagitta’s to create the arc using a cool technique I learned from YouTube university. I’m still trying to learn about concentric vs non-concentric and improve my circular stair knowledge.

You’ll be missed. I’ll be back to say goodbye properly and to fine tune a couple things the rain didn’t want us to do on the last day.
That trips on me.
