Complete Reno of 2 Bathrooms, Small Fixes Around the House
After six months of renovation nightmare with our previous contractor, we were extremely fortunate to find Vladimir and his company, Outside The Box. Vladimir and his crew completely renovated our two 40-year-old bathrooms, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome and the overall experience.
The quality of the job was outstanding. All the sub-contractors (the tiler, the plumber, the painter, the electrician, the ceiling and shower door guys) were super professional, hard-working and friendly. Their work was meticulous, and they all went above and beyond to make sure we'll get what we expected. And the result exceeded our expectations by far! The basement bathroom was a very tricky project, given its age, size, layout, and the terrible piping job done by the previous owner. I just hoped to turn it into something looking relatively decent on a low budget. The result was a fantastic upscale modern-looking bathroom, which we absolutely love.
Vladimir himself is a real pleasure to work with. He is one of the most honest, reliable, trustworthy, positive and helpful contractors I've ever met. He was very patient with all my questions and concerns, and did his best to accommodate all my requests. Any unexpected issues arising in the course of the project were immediately taken care of, so I didn't need to worry about anything. Vladimir's coordination of the sub-contractors was very efficient, so the project was completed in a relatively short amount of time. When needed, Vladimir was always ready to step in and do some work himself.
The quote provided by Vladimir was very reasonable, detailed and transparent, with generous allowances for all materials and fixtures. Besides, he has a very flexible approach to "who supplies what" -- we were able to decide what we'd like to buy ourselves, what we'd select and leave for Vladimir to order, and what we'd prefer Vladimir to provide himself. That worked extremely well in both lowering our expenses and getting the exact items that we wanted. And there were no surprises in the final invoice.
Overall, from the initial quote to completion, this renovation was a very positive and stress-free experience. We would absolutely hire Outside The Box again and highly recommend this company to anyone who wants top-notch quality delivered at a reasonable cost.
