💛🍂🧡And just like that, BC Church Day Weekend 2026 has come to an end — and what a meaningful, joy‑filled time it was.
Our celebrations began on Friday afternoon at our Coquitlam congregation, where our NACPAC gathering opened with guest speaker Noah Silverberg. Afterward, members enjoyed time in fellowship with District Apostle Martig, setting a warm and uplifting tone for the days ahead.
On Saturday morning, we continued our Church Day festivities at Camp Charis in Chilliwack, gathering bright and early for a full day of connection, learning, and gratitude.
We welcomed everyone with coffee and snacks, giving members the chance to reconnect and enjoy a relaxed start to the day. Bishop Braun and District Apostle Martig shared opening remarks that grounded us in purpose and unity.
Participants then divided into groups:
Sunday School children, junior youth, and senior youth enjoyed age‑appropriate activities, while the adults spent time with guest speaker Mary Tabak, who offered valuable insights on supporting children and youth as they navigate the opportunities and challenges of this stage of life. Her reminder that it truly takes a village resonated deeply.
After a shared lunch, the afternoon was filled with recreation and fellowship. The camp buzzed with activity — crafts, rock wall climbing, archery, soccer, and jumping castles for the younger children. Laughter, movement, and joyful conversations filled every corner of Camp Charis.
We gathered one final time for dinner before heading home, grateful for the chance to spend this Thanksgiving weekend with our church family. A heartfelt thank‑you goes out to all volunteers and everyone who helped make this day — and the entire weekend — possible.
On Sunday, we came together once more for our Thanksgiving Divine Service, blessed to be in God’s house and ready to offer praise and thanks for the many blessings He has given us. We ended the day with a delicious lunch, activities for our children, and even a photobooth to commemorate the occasion — a joyful way to reflect on what Thanksgiving truly means in our church.
What a wonderful weekend of faith, fellowship, and gratitude. �
