Proper Site Setup before a drone mapping flight is crucial to centimeter level accurate data capturing, here we utilize ground control points for Post Processed Kinematic (PPK) location correction on a small mapping flight this past Saturday. The Emlid Reach RX rover is integral to this process. Larger Areas will rely on either PPK or RTK location correction. The flight parameters and client requirements will dictate the most suitable approach.
