We’re excited to see this development taking shape, and with only a small number of units remaining, now is the time to secure your spot!

Today marks an exciting milestone as we officially begin construction on our Rideouts Road seniors housing development.
As a company proudly rooted in Conception Bay South, this project is about more than building a new development—it is about investing in the community that has supported us for so many years. We are honoured to create a place where local seniors can continue to live comfortably, stay connected, and remain part of the community they call home.
This milestone would not have been possible without the dedication, collaboration, and commitment of so many people. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who helped bring this vision to life, especially those standing alongside me here. Your hard work and dedication have been instrumental in reaching this moment.

Public Information Session
Proposed Rezoning - 12-16 Rideouts Road

Council is considering a request from the property owner to re-zone 12-16 Rideouts Road. In general terms, 1.08 hectares would be re-zoned from “Residential Medium Density” to “Residential Multi Unit”.

The proposed re-zoning is intended to accommodate a proposed four story 64-unit apartment building. It would have a modern design and include both underground and surface parking.

🗓️A public information session to discuss the proposed re-zoning and the Land Use Impact Assessment Report will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Greenslade Gallery at the Town Hall on Wednesday October 8, 2025.

Council will accept written feedback on the proposed re-zoning and Land Use Impact Assessment Report until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

Today marks a significant milestone for Eagle Construction Limited as we celebrate our 50th year in business. We are beyond proud of our small, third generation, family run business that started with the dreams of our father/ grandfather Ernest Caines. We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our staff, sub-trades, and customers who have diligently worked alongside us these past 50 years, we couldn’t have done it without you! After 31 years, on August 27th, our foreman, John Durdle retired. John worked side by side with us for over three decades and three generations of our small family owned business. John was always the first to arrive and the last to leave. John has always treated this company as if it were his own. Although it is very hard to see John leave our team we are very excited to see him open the next chapter of his life. We have been extremely privileged to have had John Durdle work with us for so long. For anyone that knows John will know that honesty, loyalty, and trustworthy are only modest attributes to his character. Throughout his 31 years working with us we have never doubted him in any way and have always had a steadfast trust in him. People like John are few and far between and we are so blessed that his path crossed with ours in the summer of 1990. Thank you John for everything and congratulations on your well deserved retirement!
