Our recent build was designed and built with the surrounding forest in mind. Every tree was accounted for and protected. The interior finishes were carefully chosen and aligned to mirror the surrounding trees to make the home feel like it was always there. At night the low light and wood finishes glow in the forest.

Heartwood Contracting’s very first build. 1972 and still kickin’. Tim cleared the lot with hand tools, cut the trees with a Swede saw, and peeled the logs by hand. Still no vehicle access in. 3000km of driving and a wander through the woods to find this beauty in Whitehorse YT. $500 in materials and the land was free. Different times but the quality remains.
