"If it was easy, anyone could do it."

That’s Rick’s line, and it’s on the award that carries his name. Every year, the Rick Lacasse Award goes to the person on our team who best represents what Rick brought to this company: showing up early, a positive attitude, hard work without complaint, and no drama.

Our whole team votes. One vote each, and nobody votes for themselves. This year’s name goes on the base soon. 🏆

2024: Shawn Slobodzian

Framing has started on the new Comox fire hall, a building this town will rely on for generations.

It's being built to post-disaster standards, so when Comox needs it most, it can serve as the Town's Emergency Operations Centre.

The original hall served the community for nearly 50 years. We're building its replacement to do the same and more.

"This is a building the whole community depends on, and our crew lives here too. We're glad to be the ones building it." Cale Lacasse

Cale and Erin were out at Crown Isle a few weeks ago for the 19th annual CV Charity Classic, where we were the proud sponsor of hole 15.

The tournament raised more than $150,000, and this year's proceeds are staying in the Comox Valley with Operation Pegasus Jump, Jumpstart Canada, and L'Arche Comox Valley. Watching the Operation Pegasus jumpers land on the 18th hole and share their story was a moment we won't forget.

Thank you to the board, the volunteers and everyone who came out. Nineteen years in, it's a tradition we're glad to be part of. ⛳

Before we announce our opening date (I'll give you a hint... 🐐🏀), we wanted to take a moment to thank the amazing team at Lacasse Construction for all their hard work and guidance.

I have been working with Cale for a few years to turn Dr. Christine's vision into reality. Finding the right location was definitely a bit of a Goldilocks adventure, but throughout the entire process, Cale and his team were supportive and patient.....exceptionally patient!

We are especially proud that the vast majority of the work, products, equipment, and materials were sourced either locally or through Canadian companies and built by local trades.

When independent businesses choose to invest and do business with one another, the entire community thrives. Dollars spent locally circulate right here on the Island, creating stable local jobs, and fostering a vibrant economy where families support families.

A special thank you to Cale, Peter, and Emily specifically for their dedication and craftsmanship on this project!

Over the years, our team has had the opportunity to work on projects overlooking oceans, mountains, forests, farms, and everything in between

While every project is unique, one thing remains the same: we're grateful to build in a place as beautiful as the Comox Valley.

Which view would you choose?

What most people see is the finished project...

What they don't see are the hundreds of decisions, conversations, inspections, schedules, and skilled trades that make it happen ✨

Every successful build starts long before the finishing touches go in!

A backyard designed for making the most of summer☀️

This beautiful poolside retreat is complemented by a custom-built pool house, crafted to add both function and style to the outdoor living space.

With warmer days ahead, this is exactly where we’d like to be💦

There's something especially rewarding about helping long-time partners create a space that reflects who they are and where they're headed 🌟✨

We recently completed the renovation of Muir Engineering's Comox office, transforming the space into a modern, functional workplace designed to support collaboration, creativity, and employee well-being.

The renovation included upgraded flooring and tile throughout, refreshed kitchen and washroom spaces, stunning glass office fronts that maximize natural light and ocean views, and employee-focused amenities including secure bike storage.

Thank you to the Muir Engineering team for the opportunity. We think the finished space looks incredible and we're excited to see it serve your team for years to come!
