Getting all of the busy BMCC Board members together in one room doesn’t happen often but it’s a truly fantastic time when it does!
Last night we met for a delicious dinner to plan some exciting upcoming events, including:
- “Finding the Funding” Grant Writing Workshop & Lunch with Pat Robitaille at Bruce Wine Bar on Thursday, April 24. Tickets are selling fast, so be sure to grabs yours at https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/1310456714309?aff=oddtdtcreator
- Our Annual General Meeting and After 6 social on May 7 at Thornbury Village Craft Cider & Beer — save the date and get ready to have some fun.
- The BMCC’s 60th Anniversary Golf Tournament & Party in mid-June. It’s going to be an absolute blast! More details coming soon.
- A Clarksburg-wide After 6 evening on July 16, where the incredible businesses of the ‘Burg will open their doors to our members for some after hours shopping, treats, and some very cool surprises.
The dinner was also a celebration, marking the final Board meeting for our fearless leader, Gavin Leitch, who will be stepping down at the AGM. He has served as our President for the past three years, and was part of the Board for five years before that, donating his time and many talents to the Blue Mountains Chamber for an impressive eight years. His remarkable dedication, leadership, humour, and tireless championing of our local businesses and organizations will be sorely missed, and it’s with so much gratitude and no small measure of sadness that we see him go.
