Royal Court Painting was originally establishe

d in 1996 by (myself) Courtney Juneau and mentor Roy LeFrance (hence the clever company name). Roy was an experienced professional painter who worked as a full-time employee at Blue Mountain Resort (where I was blessed to get my start in painting part-time). Roy took on the task of training me in the early years of my profession. He insisted during the first 2 years of my training, that I was only "allowed" to cut in the trim work and walls; which taught me to have an incredibly steady hand! One day while performing some exterior painting at the resort, a homeowner approached us and asked if we could quote staining his chalet in the beautiful Town of the Blue Mountains. We took on our first "Royal Court Painting" project with full gusto, and suddenly got noticed by other homeowners; within a short time period, projects were flooding in! Unfortunately, the demand for projects was too difficult for Roy, as he was still employed full-time at Blue Mountain, so I hired a couple of employees and started out on my own. Over the past 25 years I have had the privilege of connecting with many different homeowners with various decorating styles and needs; colour consultations, interior and exterior painting/staining, trim installation (wainscotting, door/window trims, baseboards, shiplap, etc.), wallpaper removal, caulking, tile installation, furniture re-finishing, cabinet painting, home organization and de-cluttering. It is with great pleasure that I would like to thank; my dear friend Roy for taking the time to train me, the employees of my past, and all of my loyal clients who continue to hire my services and happily pass on my information to family and friends.

Keep Creating

Some spaces invite you to slow down and breathe a little deeper. The kind of places where morning light drifts across white shiplap walls, where wood floors glow softly in the warmth of the evening sun, where gardens and tall trees surround you with quiet beauty.

These are the simple moments that make a place feel like home. Calm, welcoming, and full of life.

At Royal Court Painting, we believe the spaces we live in should reflect that same sense of warmth and tranquility. With thoughtful colours inspired by nature and careful craftsmanship, a room, a home, or a cabin can become a place that feels restful and beautifully lived in.

Whether you are refreshing a beloved cabin, bringing new life to your home, or beginning a new project, every space deserves care, creativity, and attention to detail.

Keep creating spaces that feel peaceful, natural, and inviting.

When you are ready to bring that feeling into your own home or cabin, Royal Court Painting would be honoured to help.

This living room transformation is proof that one colour can completely change the way a space feels.

Painted in Sherwin Williams Urbane Bronze (SW 7048), this room went from ordinary to rich, grounded, and effortlessly inviting. And the real moment? The fireplace, drenched in the same colour as the walls… bold, seamless, and honestly so striking it becomes the heart of the entire space.

Everything just, clicks; the warmth of the leather, the character of the antique artwork, the soft glow of a crackling fire. It all feels layered, cozy, and intentionally collected rather than styled.

Sometimes it’s not about adding more, it’s about choosing the right tone and letting it pull everything together in a way that feels calm, elevated, and lived-in.

If you love spaces that feel this warm and cohesive, give this a share and follow along for more transformations like this.

A little bespoke bathroom moment

This space started with an old, tired vanity… and turned into something completely custom using a vintage dresser I already had. There’s just something special about giving a well-loved piece a second life, especially in a space that gets used every single day.

You’ll see bits of the process woven through; removing the old, planing fresh pine for a handmade countertop, adding tongue & groove for that soft, rustic texture, and finishing it off with new flooring to bring everything together. It’s not about everything being brand new… it’s about creating something that feels warm, personal, and full of character.

I truly believe we don’t always need more, we just need to see what we already have a little differently. That forgotten dresser, that dated piece tucked away… it might be the thing that makes your space feel like you.

If this inspired you, share it with someone who loves a good before & after, it helps my small business more than you know.

And if you’re dreaming up a space of your own… I’d love to bring it to life with you.

Every day looks a little different, but each project brings me closer to creating something beautiful. It’s not always pretty in the process, but it’s always worth it.

Some days are full of quick wins; a wall painted, a trim cut perfectly, a corner that finally lines up. Other days are full of challenges like paint spills, measurements that need redoing, and those little moments where you just step back and wonder what on earth you got yourself into.

But that’s the point. Every scrape, every brushstroke, every small fix adds up. You might not see the beauty while it’s happening, but it’s there in every effort, waiting to reveal itself in the finished work. And when that moment comes, the frustration fades, the dust settles, and you get to stand back and admire what’s been built with patience, sweat, and a little stubbornness.

Things move fast around here, and sometimes it’s a little messy; paint on my hands, tools scattered, and the occasional “oops, let’s fix that” moment. When I’m in the thick of it, I don’t always see the progress the way others do. I’m focused on getting the job done, solving problems, and keeping the project moving.

That’s why I take so many photos and videos along the way. They let me step back later and see the transformation, the before, the in-between chaos, and the after that makes all the hard work worth it. Watching a space come to life like that never gets old, and it’s what I love sharing with you.

Each clip is a little peek behind the scenes: honest, real, and full of the effort that turns ideas into something beautiful. And here’s the exciting part, your project could be next. Follow along, enjoy the process, and imagine what we could create together. The work isn’t always glamorous, but the results are always worth it, and there’s nothing better than seeing a transformation from start to finish.
