(Saturday July 15th) I’ve been invited to set up my table for sharpening for the day so don’t forget to bring your hunting knives, EDC’s, kitchen blades, axes, fillet knives or just any edge that you need tuned. The BSSA is Celebrating our 40th Anniversary with a Day Long Festival!!!!
We are excited to team up with some great organizations in the Bonnyville area to make this day happen.
July 15, 2023 Gates Open @ NOON
Admission for the day will be a donation to the Bonnyville Food Bank (Food item or Cash donations will be accepted at the entrance)
The Festival is taking place on our range, located straight south of the Neighbourhood Inn on 66 St/Range Road 461. When you get the Bonnyville Landfill entrance, continue south past it and down the gravel road, and you will come to our entrance.
We have a large green space, so BRING A LAWN CHAIR/BLANKET, maybe some shade, grab your place by the stage and enjoy the entertainment.
Here is what Festival is looking like:
Bonnyville & District SPCA will be hosting a Fundraising BBQ from Noon until 4:00pm
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 183 - Bonnyville, Alberta will be hosting a Steak Supper from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, cost is $25, limited supplies, so get there early.
There will be a Artisan Makers Market and Kids Zone Sponsored by Axcelling Forward featuring Glitter Tattoos, Inflatable Obstacle Course and Outdoor games from Noon to 4:00pm
The Beaver River Fish and Game Association and the Willow Prairie Agricultural Society will be on location, selling raffle tickets for their fund raising initiatives, so bring some cash!
All Things Sharp will be on location for the day, so bring your cutting, shopping, sawing tools and get them sharpened up.
Marvelous Minis will be on location throughout the day to hit that sweet spot after having some food from our fundraising groups, or to cure that sweet tooth craving.
1:00pm will be our Opening Ceremonies, including Dedication of a Range to Dedicated Volunteers, speeches from local Dignitaries and Alberta's Chief Fi****ms Officer Dr. Teri Bryant.
Bonnyville Friendship Center has organized Indigenous Performer Patrick Mitsuing to perform from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.
Open Mike Before Mike, featuring Local Alberta Musicians will be from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Special thanks to Clayton Bellamy for the use of a sound system for this.
And we are proud to present MIKE PLUME performing from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
THIS EVENT IS RAIN OR SHINE, REGARDLESS OF SMOKE Bring an umbrella, all of our vendors will have covered spaces for the day, so they will love to see you out there!!
