During a recent inspection, we found spliced wiring left exposed with no junction box, no cover plate, and no protection from the elements. These connections were hanging freely near a structural wooden support, unsecured and unprotected — these kind of findings that do not show up until you know where to look.
Exposed splices like this are a serious hazard. Without a proper enclosure, connections are vulnerable to moisture, physical damage, and rodent activity, any of which can lead to a short circuit, electrical fire, or shock. Code requires every splice to be contained in an approved junction box with a secure cover — no exceptions.
If your home has areas that haven’t been inspected in a while — crawlspaces, attics, under decks, or anywhere wiring was added over the years — it’s worth having a professional take a look before a small oversight becomes a costly, or dangerous, problem.

200A Electrical Service Upgrade completed with safety as the top priority.
This project included the removal of Federal Pioneer panel’s, equipment that has been associated with known safety concerns such as breaker malfunction and potential failure to trip under fault conditions. These issues can increase the risk of overheating and electrical fire.
The system was upgraded with a new Siemens panel, providing improved reliability, safer operation, and the capacity required for modern electrical demands.

We were recently called out to a home where the HRV system had stopped working properly—and unfortunately, it led to a serious mold issue. Because of this, the homeowner now has to replace sections of their ceiling and drywall.
After servicing the HRV, we also recommended and installed a bathroom fan to help ensure proper moisture removal moving forward and prevent this from happening again.
