A really cool project to enhance the outdoor space of this home in Heartland.

10x10 deck with a custom pergola and integrated privacy wall. A little tricky to get the pergola to integrate visually with the existing structures on the house but I'm really happy with how it came together.

We also built a 6' fortress style privacy fence to enclose the property. The ground conditions in Heartland are always tough for digging but we have the right equipment to handle pretty much anything Cochrane can throw at us.

After finishing a couple huge builds last year it was a nice change of pace to tackle this (much simpler) fence and deck project in Fireside during a warm stretch of weather this past February.

We still hit frost at about 2.5' into the ground but luckily our specialized equipment allows us to punch right through it. Regardless of ground conditions, we set our posts to proper depths ensuring the fences we install are built to last.

I am very far behind on posting all our recent projects but here is a massive stair set we added to this existing deck late last year. Thankfully we were able to integrate into the original railing to make for a seamless transition to the new stairs.

On anything of this size we use double outside stringers, enclosed risers and solid 1.5" thick full-width stair treads. The resulting stairs look amazing and are built to take a beating. The slight offset in the railings allow for clear access when turning the corner to the lower landing and make the space feel a little larger.
