🍂 Happy Thanksgiving weekend from Shepherd Environmental Services!

Hosting family this weekend? Your septic system is putting in the overtime too. A few quick things to keep it running happy:

🚿 Space out showers, laundry, and dishwasher loads — do not run it all at once
🍳 No grease down the drain — wipe pans with a paper towel before they hit the sink
🚫 And a gentle reminder for guests: only toilet paper goes in the toilet

A little care now saves a service call later. Enjoy the turkey! 🦃

Just a heads-up — we are closed Thanksgiving Monday and back at it Tuesday.

🍂 A little chill in the air! 🍂

It is starting to get a bit chillier out — perfect time for cozy sweaters and warm drinks.

Friendly reminder: if it has been a few years since your last pump-out, now is a great time to get your septic tank pumped and inspected before the ground freezes. It is also smart to check your effluent filter if you have one, watch your water usage, and avoid parking or driving over your leaching bed.

A little maintenance now can help prevent backups and costly repairs this winter!

Stay cozy and enjoy the fall! 🍁

🎡 **Another Successful Kinmount Fair!**

That’s a wrap on another great **Kinmount Fair!** A big thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend a success. Shepherd Environmental was proud to be there keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes!

🍂 With the fair behind us, it’s also a reminder that **fall is here and, unfortunately… winter isn’t far behind!** ❄️

Now is a great time to start thinking about those fall jobs and making sure your **septic system is ready before the cold weather arrives.** If you’re due for a pump-out, don’t wait until everything is frozen and covered in snow!

🚌 **And a very important reminder:** the kids are back to school! Please slow down, stay alert around bus stops, and always watch for school buses loading and unloading children. A few extra seconds of patience can make all the difference.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Kinmount Fair, and here’s to a safe and busy fall!
