Good news - It’s not too late to install a pool! In my opinion fall is the best time to make this happen. It gets rid of the angst of watching the sunny days go by waiting to swim, gives landscaping a chance to settle over the winter, and sets you up to swim as soon as the warm weather returns.

23 years later… and this pool still looks incredible.

The liner hasn’t been replaced — because it’s fibreglass. The shell is original. The structure is original. And it’s still being enjoyed today. The homeowners recently refreshed the backyard with a new deck and added a ClearDeck solar reel, but the pool itself is the same one we installed over two decades ago.

This is why doing it right the first time matters.

Anyone can sell a pool.
Building one that still looks this good 23 years later is something different.

More than once since we started (over 26 years ago) we have been told “We were too nice.”

Maybe so, but we like being nice.

Today’s rescue: removing a birds nest with fledglings from inside our machine.

Now we hope the mother finds it and the cats leave the new nest alone.

Openings come in many different colours. 🎨

How you close a pool does help; proper winter water balancing, adding some liquid chlorine, making sure the water is clean and clear when the pool is closed.

The type and condition of winter cover used also impacts how much sunlight and organic matter gets through.

One benefit to this spring cold snap is the state of algae is pretty minimal this year. Silver lining?
