Nick the copper and you’ve weakened the conductor. Leave the strip too long and you’ve got exposed wire in the terminal. Too short and the screw bites insulation instead of metal — looks fine on day one, heats up by month six.

That’s a loose connection. That’s arcing. That’s a panel that needs to come apart again.

So no, we don’t rush terminations. Ten extra seconds per conductor beats a callback and a customer wondering what else got hurried.

Done once. Done right.

Electrical work is one of the few trades where the quality of the job is invisible once the walls close. That’s why we build every install to be inspected — not just to pass. Licensed, insured, and serving the Fraser Valley.

Floor by floor, suite by suite — running home runs, keeping the racks clean and the labels right. It’s the kind of work nobody sees once the drywall is up, but it’s what makes the whole building come together on schedule.

Big multi-family jobs come down to organization and consistency. Get that right and everything downstream is easier.

We started BNR Electric in 2013 with a simple idea: show up when we say we will, do the work properly, and explain what we did in plain English. No upsells you didn’t ask for. No “close enough” wiring hiding behind a cover plate.

Licensed. Insured. Local. Whether it’s a flickering light in a townhouse or a full commercial rough-in, the standard doesn’t change.

Got something electrical on your list? Call or text 778-704-0312 to book your estimate — we’ll give you a straight answer and a fair price. See the full list of what we handle at bnr-electric.com.

⚡ Serving Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Mission, Langley and the whole Fraser Valley.

Once concrete hits that deck, the electrical rough-in is locked in permanently. No adjustments, no do-overs, no “we’ll fix it in the next phase.” Whatever we set that morning is what the building lives with for the next 50 years. That’s why the day before a pour is one of the most important days on any commercial job.

1. Sleeve and conduit placement
Every pe*******on gets mapped against the drawings and set in position — floor boxes, stub-ups, sleeves for future runs, feeder conduit heading to the electrical room. This is where coordination with the other trades matters most. Plumbing, mechanical, and structural are all working the same deck, and everyone needs their path. Miss a sleeve and you’re core drilling through a finished slab later, cutting rebar, patching, and explaining yourself to the GC. We’d rather spend the extra hours now.

2. Grounding and bonding
The Ufer ground gets tied directly into the rebar cage — a concrete-encased electrode that becomes the grounding backbone for the entire building. It’s what gives fault current somewhere safe to go and protects every panel, circuit, and person in the building for decades. It gets inspected, verified, and documented, and then it disappears under the pour and is never seen again.

3. The final walk
Two sets of eyes on every run, every measurement, every stub-up. We check heights, we check spacing, we check it against the prints one more time, and we make sure nothing shifted while the deck was being prepped. Concrete doesn’t do revisions, so this is the last chance to catch anything.

None of this shows up in the finished building. No tenant walking into that space will ever know it happened. But it’s the difference between a build that runs clean for decades and one that fights you every step of the way.

Invisible work. Permanent consequences. We get it right the first time.

Residential. Commercial. Industrial. Serving the Fraser Valley since 2013.

Pre-slab done on Luckakuck Way. ⚡

Conduit set, sleeves placed, grounding verified — all before the pour. New apartment building going up in Chilliwack, and the electrical foundation is already locked in.

Once that concrete cures, there’s no second chance. That’s why we plan it right the first time.
