Wildfires continue to impact communities across British Columbia including many of the places where our employees live, our teams work and Emil Anderson Group has longstanding connections.

Through EA Cares, EAG has established a dedicated Wildfire Relief Committee to help identify where support is needed and coordinate how our organization can help.

We know support can take many forms. Across our group of companies, efforts may include financial contributions, equipment, materials, services and expertise, work-in-kind, and volunteer support from our employees, allowing us to respond to the needs of communities as they emerge.

Our employees and community connections are an important part of this effort. If you know of an organization, individual, family or community initiative impacted by wildfires that may need assistance - or you're an EAG employee interested in volunteering - please contact Crystal Alseth at [email protected].

Our commitment extends beyond the immediate wildfire response. As communities move toward recovery and rebuilding, we'll continue looking for meaningful ways to help.

When our communities need support, we want to be there with our people, our resources and a willingness to help.

Great things are taking shape in Chilliwack!

We're proud to be working alongside the City of Chilliwack on two recreational facility projects. A brand new multi-sport facility annex at the Landing Sports Centre and a squash court expansion at the Landing Leisure Centre will give this community even more spaces to come together and stay active.

Work is well underway and we can't wait to see these spaces come to life.

Recently, our team reached an exciting milestone at the GEC Hoskins project in West Kelowna with the completion of a major concrete pour.

Once complete, this apartment building will provide much-needed housing and give more people the opportunity to call one of B.C.’s most beautiful communities home.

We’re proud of the hard work and dedication that brought us to this stage. Stay tuned for more exciting updates as the project continues to take shape.

We're proud to wrap up this design-build, tilt-up warehouse with Class A office space on Progress Way in Chilliwack, delivered purpose-built for the Triton Transport team.

From the first conversation to the final walkthrough, Triton brought a clear vision and trusted us to bring it to life. That kind of partnership doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you, Triton, for putting your confidence in our team. It was genuinely a pleasure to work alongside you, and we hope this space serves your operation for many years to come.

A big thank you as well to our partners at Keystone Architecture. Their design work set the tone for everything that followed, and the collaboration made for a seamless, rewarding process from start to finish.

June is National Indigenous History Month. A time to honour the histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples across Canada.

At Gerry Enns Contracting, we have had the privilege of building alongside Indigenous nations and communities throughout the Fraser Valley and Okanagan over the past 40 years. These are not just projects on a portfolio. They are gathering places, administrative hubs, and cultural spaces, purpose-built for the people who call these communities home.

GEC was back at ICBA's Meet the Generals on June 11th, this time in Kelowna, B.C.

The event brought together 20+ general contractors and 800 industry leaders from across the Okanagan for an afternoon of business development and networking.

After a great experience at the Vancouver event in May, it was energizing to see the same momentum carry into Kelowna. The conversations were forward-looking, the room was full of people who care about where this industry is headed, and GEC was proud to be part of it.

GEC recently attended ICBA’s Meet the Generals in Vancouver on May 22, where over 2,500 people from 650 construction companies came together to explore the future of our industry. With 130 exhibitors, the event was full of meaningful connections and forward-looking conversations. We can’t wait to do it all again in Kelowna on June 11!
