Eastern Valley Electric delivering the power with this 350 Kilowatt back up Generator. In a power outage it can be essential to keep life safety system operational! 💪⚡️

Our in house pre construction design reviews were able to identify life safety equipment not detailed on emergency back up. This allowed us to engage the GC early enough to ensure there were no delays or downtime to their project while a larger generator was implemented into the build!

**Part 2 of 3 Collaborate**

When you’re dealing with 5 buildings on a shared parkade, communication is everything.

This phase was all about the “intricate industrial” side of multi-family development.

The technical complexity here was off the charts: a 350KW backup generator, complex fire alarm systems with individual CACFs for each building, and a specific evacuation sequence that required seamless coordination with every trade on site.

Working with Caliber Projects LTD allowed us to push boundaries and ensure a safe, efficient build from the ground up.

**Part 1 of 3 - Plan**

This project: our largest to date: was about more than just wiring; it was about precision planning.

With 233,331 sqft of residential space and a shared two-storey parkade spanning 224,777 sqft, the scale was massive.

Before we even stepped on site, our team spent months in the design phase, collaborating closely with consultants and Caliber Projects LTD to ensure every detail was locked in. From high-voltage room layouts to grounding schematics, the work starts on the page.

One of the best parts of our Service Division is getting to support buildings long after the construction dust settles.

A great example is The Georgia : a 188-unit development completed in 2020, and our first project with Whitetail Homes LTD. We’re proud of the build… and just as proud that we’ve stayed involved ever since.

Since completion, Eastern Valley Electric has been the FSR named on the electrical operating permit. That means we’re the team returning each year to complete the required maintenance and testing: helping keep the building’s electrical system safe, compliant, and reliable.

Good to know: Technical Safety BC requires an operating permit for buildings with electrical service over 250 kVA (which is most condos and many commercial buildings).

Our annual maintenance programs can include distribution equipment, underground parkades, amenity spaces, corridors, stairwells, and more.
