Civil Pipe Layer / Labourer
Location: Fraser Valley
Type: Full-Time
Experience: Minimum 2 Years
Wage: We pay top rate for the right person, based on experience. Up for negotiations
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Civil Pipe Layer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing water, sewer, and storm systems according to MMCD specifications and safety standards. You will work alongside site supervisors, equipment operators, and other crew members to ensure high-quality and efficient installations on civil infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Install water, sanitary, and storm sewer piping systems according to MMCD standards
Grade and prepare trenches for pipe installation
Set and align pipes, fittings, and manholes to proper grade and alignment
Read and interpret construction drawings and site plans
Assist with testing, backfilling, and restoration
Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely
Work collaboratively with the crew and follow supervisor direction
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental guidelines
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in civil pipe installation (water, sewer, storm)
Strong knowledge of MMCD specifications and municipal standards.
Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor environments
Capable of using levels, lasers, and pipe-laying tools accurately
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Assets (Preferred)
Experience operating small equipment (e.g., packers, saws, laser levels)
CSTS, WHMIS, or other relevant safety certifications
Experience on municipal infrastructure or subdivision projects.
