We get these calls all the time and its quit sad to see. After only 4 year the heat exchanger needs to be replaced on this Carrier. Long story short, installing contractor (which will remain nameless) did a poor job with the installation. Even though its common for these carrier to leak like this, usually happens after 10 years, not 4. Furnace should've been placed on a box to allow maximum air flow through it. Since day one, this furnace has never worked right.

Bottom line, even if your house is new, don't relay on the builder and HVAC contractor to do the right thing. Have your HVAC system inspected by an independent mechanical contractor
