Dream Big Home Design

Before a single shovel hit the ground, the owners of this home could already walk around it.

The gables. The covered entry with the cedar posts. The windows facing the water. They saw it all on screen, and made every decision while changes were still free.

Then the build was finished, and it was the home they’d been picturing all along.

Building a home is one of the biggest decisions you’ll ever make. You shouldn’t have to wait for the walls to go up to find out how it looks.

That’s why we show you first.

Planning a build? Send us a message and we’ll show you yours before it’s built.

We love to see our clients dream come to life!

The model does a great job showing how things are going to look, but the finished product is always the best part!

One comment from these clients when we got to walk through their home has stuck with me for a couple of years now. They said it was the smoothest build they've ever gone through and that it almost felt too easy!

If you want your build to go just as smoothly, reach out and we can help you with your plan!

We love hearing such kind words from our clients after their project is finalized. There is no better thank you than how they can picture their life in their new home, which is exactly why we do what we do. Thanks to all our past clients for trusting us to bring your dream home into a (virtual) reality!

"Dream Big Home Design transformed our hand-drawn, custom sketches into stunning 3D renderings that truly brought our vision to life for our new build. Their work allowed us to clearly imagine building a future and raising our family in this home. They were incredibly supportive, attentive to our needs, and demonstrated a high level of expertise throughout the process. Would strongly recommend!" -N

That big, open two-storey room you've been picturing? This is what's holding it up.

Walls over 12 feet don't behave like regular walls. They're taller, they catch more wind, and they have a lot more room to flex and bow. Standard stud sizing doesn't automatically cover them, and PEI wind doesn't care how good the room is going to look.

That's why we engineer them. A tall wall gets sized for its actual height and loads before framing starts, so the room you're dreaming about stays straight, solid and quiet for decades.

Have a vaulted great room, a two-storey entry or a tall gable wall in your plans? Whether you're a homeowner or a builder, message us. We do tall wall engineering.

We've been nominated, and we'd love your vote!

Dream Big Home Design is a nominee for Architecture & Design in the 2026 Charlottetown Community Votes Awards!

Every home we design starts with someone's dream: a growing family, a forever home by the water, or finally having the space to gather everyone together. Helping Islanders bring those plans to life is the best part of what we do, and this nomination means a lot to our team.

We love the wall of the windows to maximize the views from this house! It’s a 2+1 bedroom, 2 bath, 2167 sq foot 2 story home, with an open concept living area upstairs and a full primary suite. Access to outside on both floors to really enjoy their space wherever they are!

You know the drill, one knee in the tub, dog trying to escape, water everywhere but on the dog.

A large custom shower with a removable handheld head fixes that completely. No cramped angles, no wrestling, you can stand, kneel, or sit right on a built-in bench while you rinse them off.

And the best part: it's not a “dog shower.” It's your beautiful custom shower, doing double duty when you need it to.

A big shower is also great for washing other things around the house, including window screens, totes, even multiple kids after they make a huge mess!
