Day 5 – Selective Interior & Exterior Demolition | Bloor West Village, Toronto

Progress continues for our good client, ALBO Homes . The sunroom demolition is complete, and we’re tackling the second-floor full gut—four bedrooms, lath and plaster finishes, and plenty of insulation.

Tight access means smaller bins and frequent swaps. Big thanks to MTF Group for keeping disposal moving, including dedicated clean-fill bins for the brick.

Our debris chute moves material directly from the second floor into the bin, reducing trips down the stairs and heavy carrying for the crew. Protective coveralls on, two air scrubbers running, and steady progress.

We also helped prepare four helical pile locations for the addition, digging by hand and breaking out concrete where the machine couldn’t get through.

Practical solutions, strong teamwork and organized demolition—helping the contractor keep the renovation moving.

Selective Interior & Exterior Demolition | Bloor West Village, Toronto

New project underway for our good client, ALBO Homes
preparing the space for a second-floor renovation and addition.

Protection comes first—covering the air conditioner, front doors, stairs and surrounding finishes before demolition begins.

Progress includes:
• Sunroom demolition, including metal mesh and brick piers.
• Brick separated into a dedicated clean-fill bin.
• Second-floor full interior gut underway.
• Additional backyard preparation, including hand excavation and concrete removal to help the contractor prepare for helical pile installation.

Where machine digging wasn’t possible, our crew stepped in to tackle the work by hand.

Careful demolition, practical solutions and strong teamwork—helping the contractor keep the project moving smoothly.

Selective Demolition | The Annex, Toronto

New project underway—preparing this two-storey detached home for a main-floor renovation and side extension for our good clients Helix Developments!

The exterior room and deck are already demolished. Our scope also includes:

• Full basement gut, including two bedrooms, bathroom/shower areas and the utility room.
• Selective main-floor demolition in the kitchen, living room, dining room and fireplace area.
• Front-door protection and isolation of the second floor from the work zone.

With our HEPA air scrubbers running to help control dust, we’re focused on protecting what stays and keeping the project organized, efficient and on schedule.

Big thanks to our disposal partner, MTF Group, for helping keep the site moving.

Come take a look inside the Thompson Residences in the Fashion District.

We're on site today packing up and protecting the client's personal belongings before we start a selective demo on the flooring and kitchen. Every item gets wrapped and moved out of harm's way before a single tool comes out. That's how we keep the job clean and the client's stuff safe while we work.

This old deck in Etobicoke is done, and today it's coming out.

Homeowner called us up, deck's in bad shape, wanted it gone. Simple as that.

Here's the fun part: every piece has to travel 300 metres by hand. Up the hill, across the ravine, into the bin. No shortcuts, just the boys putting in the work.

Second floor of this Oakville home is gone. Full gut: 2 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, floors and all, stripped down to the studs.

This is where the real transformation starts. Nothing left but bones, and now the rebuild can happen right.

Teamed up with for a reno in Richmond Hill, and before any demo starts, we protect the whole path.

Stairs covered. Hardwood covered. The hauling route, covered too. Railings wrapped up since those are getting replaced anyway, no reason to risk scratching them.

Even on a simple selective bathroom demo, we cap every valve with a compression cap, even the ones we're not touching. That's just how we do it. Doesn't matter how small the job is, the finishes get protected first.

Daniella here with Doctor Demo, on site in Hamilton for a selective demo job. We stripped the washrooms and pulled up the hardwood floor.

The tough part on this one? Hundreds of thousands of nails to remove. Slow work, but it has to get done right.
