Railing demo, done clean. 🛠️

Phase 1 at the Etobicoke Yacht Club: second-floor balcony strip-out, tied off and taken down to the frame. Pry bars only, no unnecessary cutting, debris off site the same day.

Structure stays intact. Site taped off and ready for the DoctorReno team to start the rebuild tomorrow: new 2x4 ramp section, Blueskin waterproofing, custom white flashing, and a modern glass railing system finished by Bluestone Glass & Railings.

Clean demo. Easy reno. That’s the whole job.

Want to remove a wall but don't know if it's load bearing? Here's how Roman figures it out when he's at your house.

He'll cut a two foot by two foot section right next to the wall. No guessing, no X-ray vision needed. Once you can see the joists, the answer is right there. Double plate running the span of the house with joists sitting on it? That wall stays. Nothing sitting on top of the plate? That's just a partition and it can come down safely.

Your house is drywalled for a reason but that doesn't mean we have to guess what's behind it. We open it up, look at the framing, and tell you straight.

Day 1 in Burlington. Full interior gut for .after.homes.

Main floor and basement, both in scope. The boys are stripping out
every interior finish first. Then the mechanical, plumbing, electrical
and HVAC come out.

End of Day 2 | Burlington Full Interior Gut

Our 40-yard bin is officially full — earlier than expected. 😅

The attic had two layers of insulation: batt insulation plus approximately 8–10 inches of blown-in. We filled around 150 bags and there’s still more to go.

The good news — we’ve already moved into the basement and we’re approximately halfway through. Project is on track and tomorrow we’re aiming to wrap up the demolition.

Final stage will be removing the remaining HVAC, plumbing and electrical components within our scope, followed by a detailed cleanup between the joists so the space is clean and ready for the next trades to begin framing and rough-ins.

One more push. Stay tuned. 🩺

Day 2 | Full Interior Gut – Burlington 🩺

Main floor is approximately 65% complete.

All flooring, wall and ceiling finishes have been removed. Now we’re tackling the messy part — two layers of insulation, including batt and blown-in insulation.

Our focus today is completing and cleaning up the main floor before moving into the basement tomorrow.

Project is moving according to schedule. Stay tuned for the progress.

New Project | Full Interior Gut in Burlington

Another project underway for our good client, Ever After Homes

This scope includes a full interior gut of the main floor and basement — three bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, and complete basement strip-out.

We’re working strategically: trim, doors and cabinetry first, followed by walls and ceilings for a cleaner and more efficient demolition process. Selected light fixtures and curtains are also being carefully saved for donation.

40-yard bin on site from our disposal partner MTF Group Ltd.

Etobicoke Yacht Club Project | Mimico

Another phased Doctor Demo + DoctorReno project underway at the Etobicoke Yacht Club in collaboration with Bluestone Glass & Railings who will be installing the modern glass railing system. We are excited to see!

Phase 1 starts with safety and protection — work areas taped off, PPE on, disposal trailer on site, and careful selective demolition completed in coordination with Bluestone Glass.

Next, our DoctorReno team will build the new 2x4 ramp section, followed by Blueskin waterproofing and custom white flashing with our roofing partner.

Demo first. Rebuild next. Glass railing to finish it off.
