There is a specific kind of sigh of relief when you pull into the driveway after a brutal day or week and the first thing you notice is a perfectly manicured lawn.
No overgrown edges staring you down.
No internal guilt about having to spend your night or weekend pushing a mower.
Just clean lines, fresh-cut grass, and time that belongs entirely to you.
Our clients tell us all the time: it’s not just about having a great-looking yard. It’s about that instant shift from "I have so much to do" to "Man, I can finally just relax."
When you walk through the front door, your time is yours again. Pop a drink, fire up the grill, or do absolutely nothing at all. You’ve earned it.

Let us handle the curb appeal so you can enjoy the weekend.

As we move into the warmer summer months, we'd like to share an important lawn care recommendation.

For cool-season grasses, we recommend maintaining a mowing height of 3 to 5 inches during the heat of summer. Taller grass provides several benefits:

• Helps shade the soil and retain moisture
• Encourages deeper root growth
• Reduces heat stress on the lawn
• Helps prevent weeds from establishing
• Keeps your lawn greener and healthier during hot, dry weather

While a shorter lawn may look tidy immediately after mowing, it often struggles more during periods of heat and drought. By allowing the grass to remain slightly taller, we're helping protect your lawn and promote long-term health throughout the summer season.

🌱 Hey Kootenay neighbours! Are you tired of sky-high water bills and soggy lawns that still look stressed?

Most people here in the Kootenays are watering way too much — and it's actually hurting their grass!

Overwatering leads to shallow roots, fungus, and wasted money.

Cool-season grasses (like the ones thriving in our region) only need about 1 to 1.5 inches of water per week (including rain).

The secret? Water deeply and infrequently instead of a little bit every day.

Try the easy "Tuna Can Method" to get it right:

Place several empty tuna cans (or similar shallow containers) randomly around your lawn.
Run your sprinklers or irrigation system as usual.

Measure the water depth in the cans with a ruler. Stop when they average about 1 inch.

Note how long that took — that's your new watering time! Aim for 1–2 deep sessions per week (early morning is best to reduce evaporation).

This simple test helps you apply exactly what your lawn needs without the guesswork. Your grass will develop deeper, stronger roots and handle our dry spells much better. Plus, you'll save water and keep those conservation rules happy! 💧

Summer is the perfect time for moss removal.

Step 1. Lightly brush off heavy moss.
Step 2. Blow off loose debris.
Step 3. Treat moss spores with a roof surfactant and chemical to kill the moss.
Over the new few months, all remaining moss will disappear.

A soft wash moss removal is safe and effective for adding years of life to your roof.

A thick thatch layer acts as a barrier, limiting the infiltration of water, air, and nutrients into the soil. Despite annual dethatching, this particular lawn exhibits an excessively thick thatch layer. It is essential to note that increased water and fertilizer application will not benefit the lawn if these elements cannot reach the soil. Get dethatched today.
