We always remind our clients to check their roofs for loose shingles, clear out gutters, and make sure downspouts direct water away from the foundation. Sealing up drafty windows and doors goes a long way toward keeping the cold out. Don’t forget to disconnect outdoor hoses and prep your heating system so you stay warm all season.

Sometimes it's the small repairs that keep a property running smoothly.

During our second maintenance visit in Prescott, we focused on problem areas often overlooked. We cleared out the eaves and made sure water could drain without any blockages. On the roof, we removed deteriorated caulking and resealed the aluminum-to-stone joints for a tighter, longer-lasting seal. We also secured loose sections and took care of a curtain rod that needed fastening inside.

Staying on top of these details means fewer surprises down the road. Regular checkups really do make a difference.

A little seasonal maintenance now can help prevent much bigger problems this winter.
Keeping gutters and downspouts clear of leaves and debris helps water drain properly and away from your home. It’s also a good time to inspect roof vents, pipes and other penetrations to make sure they’re properly sealed before rain, snow, ice and freeze-thaw cycles arrive.
Don’t wait until a small maintenance issue turns into a leak or costly water damage.

A new place means a fresh start — make sure it's a safe one!

In Ontario, landlords are required to install and maintain smoke alarms outside all sleeping areas and on every storey — and carbon monoxide alarms too, if the home has a fuel-burning appliance, fireplace, or attached garage.

As a tenant, your job is to let your landlord know if smoke or carbon monoxide alarms aren’t working.

Another project complete! 🔨🏡

Really happy with how this one came together. We installed a HOFT fence system and built a solid retaining wall using 6×6 pressure-treated lumber.

From getting everything level and straight to making sure the retaining wall was built strong, we took the time to get the details right.

A little piece of Great Lakes shipping history on the wall! ⚓️

We had the pleasure of installing this custom metal sign featuring the Ojibway, a Great Lakes bulk carrier that was decommissioned after decades of service.

The original sign was mounted on the ship’s chimney (funnel) and has now found a new home at the dive center in Brockville — preserving a piece of Great Lakes maritime history.
