ECR Technical Services is expanding — and we are seeking skilled Electrical Journeymen and Apprentices to join our growing team. We have the following positions available: Electrical Site Lead (Journeyman) and Site Electricians (Journeyman & Apprentice)

Minimum Requirements
• Red Seal / Licensed Journeyperson or;

Full job description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Refrigeration Technician at ECR Technical Services located in Dieppe New Brunswick, Canada. You will be involved in servicing, maintaining, and installing air conditioning and heating equipment, for the residential and commercial sectors in the greater Moncton area. You will also be responsible for ensuring that refrigeration equipment operates efficiently and safely, and for diagnosing and fixing any issues that arise. The Refrigeration Technician will work closely with other team members and may be required to provide training or guidance to junior technicians.
Qualifications
• 5+ years’ experience in an HVAC/R service and maintenance position (journeyperson).
• 2+ years’ experience in an HVAC/R service and maintenance position (2nd, 3rd, 4th year apprentice).
Skills, Abilities, And Other Requirements
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and work from HVAC, mechanical schematics, electrical schematics, line drawings, etc.
• Knowledge in a variety of electronic, pneumatic, and DDC control systems an asset.
• Strong mechanical ability and problem solving skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Licensed Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician or actively enrolled in apprenticeship program.
• Availability to work on-site in the greater Moncton Area.

According to local news, smoke from the Nova Scotia wildfires is expected to return to the Moncton and surrounding areas this evening. We strongly advise you to deactivate your air exchanges this evening to prevent the entry of any contaminants into your home.

Dear Customers

When wildfire smoke causes poor outdoor air quality, you should turn off air exchangers to prevent contaminants from entering your home. Instead of bringing in smoke-filled outside air, set or switch your air exchanger to recirculation mode. Close all windows and exterior doors to further minimize smoke infiltration.

Job requirements
• Experience

Specific Skills
• Install sheet metal / Duct work according to drawings and specifications in accordance to building codes.
• Cutting materials either using power tools or hand tools
• Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment.
• Fit and join sheet metal parts.

Major Work Area
• Installation of Commercial and Residential ventilation units, duct work assembly on job site projects
Additional Skills
• Leadership skills with ability to lead a crew
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
• Instruct apprentices
• Shop Experience including the ability to work with a plasma table
