Every piece in this build was made by hand, not off a shelf.
The curved bar top is red oak, built from roughly 88 layers of bent lamination. The bullnose edge was supposed to be wrapped in leather, until the upholsterer measuring it said the wood was too nice to cover up.
The back bar and curved island are flat cut fir, special ordered sheet by sheet (25 in total) during a supply shortage that made the material nearly impossible to find.
The round columns were cut, beveled, and jigged in our shop, then assembled and sanded round on site.
The host stand started as three oversized timbers and a drawing. Too large for any machine, they were milled and squared by hand with a router sled, then shaped with a chainsaw and hand tools.
Two karaoke rooms, a sushi bar, donut-shaped fireplace tables, server stands, POS cabinets, and every interior wall panel in the space, all built the same way: by hand, in the shop and on site.
This is what Millwork means to us.
