A little “about me” post — paired with family photos that we took on the same day as my grandma’s funeral. It felt fitting somehow. A reminder that family, legacy, love, and togetherness matter more than almost anything else.
A day that held both grief and gratitude all at once. 🤍

💓I met my husband back at college in 1999, and we’ve been married since December 2002. Somehow we blinked and now we have three amazing young men who are all under our roof for a few weeks this summer. In just a month, two of them will head off to work at for the summer, and then two on their way to college again this fall. I already know the house is going to feel quieter and the grocery bill lighter.

💓I’m a flower farmer, but honestly… I just really love growing things. Flowers, vegetables, food for my family — I love all of it.
I love canning and preserving what we grow.

💓I love sitting down with a good book or a -style coloring page after a long day outside.

💓After years of being an avid reader, I’m finally part of a book club at which feels like such a fun little gift in this season of life.

💓Before flowers, I was a teacher.

💓And I’ve always lived in Alberta, but I absolutely love to travel. I like to joke that my flower business funds our travel dreams. 🌎

💓When I first started this business almost five years ago, weddings and events completely intimidated me. Now? They might actually be my favourite part. I love being part of meaningful celebrations and creating something beautiful that people will remember.

💓A few random facts:
• Favourite book of 2026 so far: Theo of Golden
• Favourite foods: sushi and tacos
• Favourite place: home (even though I love exploring new places)

💓And right now, we’ve just finished seeding on the grain farm — which always feels like the signal to pause for a moment, leave the farm for a few days, and reconnect as a family before summer really begins.

Thanks for being here and following along with this little flower-filled life of mine.

A little update as we head into flower season 🌸

💓Wedding bookings are now officially closed for 2026, and flower subscriptions will be closing this Friday.

💓This season is just beginning, and I’m incredibly excited for what’s ahead.

💓As the farm grows, I want to make sure I can give my very best to the things I say yes to — with care, creativity, and excellence.

💓That means being intentional about how much I take on.

💓If you’re a 2026 bride still hoping to include locally grown flowers in your day, I’d still love to offer DIY flower buckets.

💓And if you’re planning a party, shower, or special gathering, I do have limited availability for bloom bars this season.

Summer 2026, here we come 💐

“In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.”
— Margaret Atwood

And honestly… I think she was right.

Dirty hands.
Sore muscles.
Windblown hair.
Empty trays.
A water bottle abandoned somewhere in the field.

There’s something really good about a full day spent outside doing work that matters to you. 🌱

A little flower subscription update!

👉🏻Subscriptions will only remain open for a couple more weeks this year — and several options are getting very close to full.

I’m intentionally keeping subscriptions limited so I can make sure every bouquet is abundant, beautiful, and carefully grown and arranged throughout the season.

✨SO If you’ve been thinking about joining for this summer, now is the time! ✨

There’s something really special about having local flowers regularly - to share with a friend, to take to the hospital, to have at your work desk or kitchen— flowers grown right here with care, intention, and so much love for this community.

Message me anytime if you need help choosing an option.

Yesterday I had fully planned on leaving everything outside overnight. The forecast said 7°C.

Then I checked again later that evening… and suddenly it had dropped to 3°C with a frost warning.

So I shuffled trays, hauled things back into safety, and questioned every decision I’ve made this spring. 😅

I’ve already lost some plants I’d put into the ground before last week’s wind and cold — some stock, feverfew, and snapdragons are toast.

I am SO ready to plant everything out, but it’s just too cold here still.

Anyone else riding the emotional roller coaster of spring farming right now? 🌱

One of my favourite parts of flower season is watching subscription customers become “flower people” 😘

The people who start noticing what’s blooming.

Who look forward to bouquet pickup every week.

Who bring flowers to friends.

Who brighten kitchen counters and workplaces and hospital rooms with local blooms.

Subscriptions are almost full for the 2026 season, and I’ll be closing signups at the end of the month.

If you’ve been wanting a summer full of fresh local flowers, this is your reminder 💓

You don’t have to fix everything this week.”

Spring on the farm has a way of making everything feel urgent.

The weeds.
The seeding.
The wind forecast.
The frost warning.
The rain delay.
The heat.
The endless list running through your head at 2 AM.

In Alberta, we work within such a short growing window that the pressure can feel relentless.
There’s always another job waiting, another thing behind, another perfect weather day slipping away.

And after 20 years of farm life and 23 years of marriage to a farmer, I’ve learned something I repeat to myself often:

👉🏻”But will the farm explode if…”

If this waits until tomorrow?
If I stop for supper?
If I rest tonight instead of pushing until dark?
If I finish it next week instead?

Usually… the answer is NOPE.

The pressure is real, but not everything is an emergency.
Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is take a breath, reassess, and remember that we are humans before we are workers.

The work will still be there tomorrow.
And hopefully, so will a little more peace. 🌱
