It's Deck Season and we've started off with a bang!! Just finished this raised 12' x 16' beauty on Thursday. All that's left is some light sanding and a coat of Thompson's to make all that cedar smile like a fat kid in an ice cream factory!!

Another cedar building project complete! Last week's adventure in carpentry was covering up the gables and re-roofing the basement entryway at a single story home in Upsalquitch, and the results speak for themselves!

Yes, vinyl is less expensive to purchase and install, but you will never get this type of look with a man made product, nor will you have the flexibility of multiple stains and finishes, if you choose to do so.

Thank you so much to Doug and Marylin for their amazing, and continued support! You are such people and customers!

Hey everyone - with the early ending to the sledding season, and the mild weather, Jake and I have switched gears and are back speaking in 16ths, arguing with Kimble over the definition of "in the bubble", and gulping back Advil with the ferocity of a fat kid let loose in a candy store!

We've tackled windows, doors, sheds, fences, shower surrounds, more fences and some work at the trailer and deck of never ending restoration, I spend most of my summer in!

So...just like the many fiddleheads along the Restigouche, we are ready for the picking. Give us a call or send a DM, if you have a project that needs completing!

There is something about cedar that makes me smile. It's an extremely resilient wood species, resists rot and insect infestation, and looks great rough or finished. It also has that amazing cedar aroma that makes so many people feel "at home".

The guys had the pleasure of building this unattached cedar and pressure treated deck for a friend in Tide Head last week, and this week installed a cedar fence for a newcomer to the area to keep their dogs in the yard. Needless to say, the sawdust was flying at both jobs.

After two crazy weeks that combined blazing heat, rain, and the occasional ray of sunshine, we finally finished the cedar shake siding on this beautiful garage at a beachfront property in New Mills!

The job required almost 50 bundles of shingles, thousands of staples, two different hydraulic lifts, 6 sets of scaffolding, and an amazing amount of patience from Walton, Tracey and Kimble.

Standing over 35 feet high at the gable peak, the 60' x 30' garage was a wonderfully challenging job, but the results explain why the owner wanted the building's exterior to match their cottage!
