Are you an experienced truck driver looking for a stable and rewarding career? Upland Ready Mix is seeking a dedicated and reliable Truck Driver to join our team in Campbell River. We offer competitive union rates and comprehensive benefits to our employees.

Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate company trucks to transport concrete and related materials to various sites.
• Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials
• Maintain truck cleanliness and organization
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
• Participate in regular training sessions and safety meetings
• Support other team members in various site-related activities

Requirements:
• Class 3 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
• Willingness to learn the concrete side of our operations; we are happy to train the right candidate.
• Experience in concrete transportation or related fields is an asset but not required.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• References required.

Spring is here and so are our raised concrete garden beds and lock block planters. These products have been designed to withstand the elements and outlast any wood products. Panels come in either 3 foot or 5 foot lengths and lock together with reinforcing rod, allowing for various bed sizing.

Interlocking concrete planter blocks hold a half yard of soil and are equipped with a drain to remove excess water. These are a great item to cap off a retaining wall or simply add some greenery to your next project.

Concrete Facts:

What is Fly Ash and why do we use it???

Fly Ash is a waste product derived from the burning and crushing of coal in power generating plants. During combustion, the impurities in the coal rise with the exhausted gases and solidify into Fly Ash when cooled. Fly Ash has a similar appearance to that of cement; however, the chemical composition is different, as it reacts with the byproduct Calcium Hydroxide released from the reaction between cement and water. The additional reactions created by Fly Ash improve some of the concretes properties such as harness and strength.

It is incredible how one industry can utilize the waste created by another, in order to improve the concrete products we use each an every day.
