Tips for garburator use:
-Never put fats or grease down your garburator. They will solidify in your pipes and cause blockages.
-Never put pasta, rice, or coffee grounds down your garburator. They can swell with water and create a clog.
-Run cold water as you use your garburator to help flush everything away.

Plumbing tip: never flush things like baby wipes, q-tips or paper towels down your toilet. They can cause clogs.

Make sure you know where your main water supply shutoff is located. If you have a burst pipe, you want to be able to turn off the water immediately. If you have a crawlspace, it is most likely there. If not, look in your laundry/utility room.
