Have you ever wondered what plumbers do inside a water treatment plant? 💧

Most people picture plumbers working in kitchens, bathrooms, or fixing a leaky pipe. But some projects happen behind the scenes in places that help keep our entire community running.

This week, our team was inside a local water treatment plant replacing a critical control valve, an important component that helps regulate water flow through the treatment system. It's just one example of the wide variety of work our plumbers take on every day.

This is the inside of a Rinnai hot water on demand system during routine maintenance.

To keep it operating at its best, our technician removed the burner to clean both the burner and the outside of the heat exchanger. At the same time, a vinegar flush was performed through the isolation valves to remove mineral buildup from inside the heat exchanger.

One interesting detail on this installation is the condensate line. It's properly tied in on this unit. Older Rinnai models weren't condensing units, but condensation could still form in the vent on longer runs, making proper drainage an important part of the installation.

Just like your furnace or boiler, a tankless hot water heater benefits from regular maintenance. Keeping up with service helps maintain efficiency, improve performance, and can help extend the life of your system.

Ever wonder why a plumbing company has an excavator? 🚜

Today's project in Rockland definitely lived up to its name. We uncovered a massive rock right where we needed to dig. 🪨😅

That meant it was time to bring in the excavator, and our project manager.

He's the only member of our team certified to operate the excavator, so whenever a project calls for it, he's the one behind the controls.

Sometimes the biggest challenge isn't the plumbing itself. It's what you find once you start digging. Thankfully, our team has the right people, the right equipment, and the experience to keep the job moving safely and efficiently.
