The crew at Pro-Fix would like to thank Western Forest Products, for the opportunity to rebuild this Wagner L -120 log stacker. The size of this machine added a little challenge that we met with innovation and determination. We are very pleased with the results of our efforts. Hope to post a picture of this machine with a grapple full of wood soon.

Why do I choose to do this? In a world where I can do anything - why this?
Why something that drains a massive chunk of my annual salary?
Why something that the smallest error - two seconds or two inches - can result in a repair bill of hundreds of dollars?
Why do I dig for hours?
Pull skis endlessly?
Voluntarily put myself in situations where I know the end result means I might get down in the dark?
Why do I drive for hours just to find snow?
Pour premium into my fuel tank day after day?

It's borderline insanity. Defies logic. Might just be part madness.

But, it completes me.

When the snow is streaming over my hood, or I have a moment of glory in the trees, when the sun sets molten and the moon rises bright on the same day I am not thinking about the cost of the machine, the repairs, the fuel, the hours travelled.

In fact, I am thinking about nothing at all.

But, I feel everything.

Miraculously small. Happy. Wild. Fulfilled. Calm. Grateful. Free.

And so freakin' alive.

For me, at the end of the day, there is no logic in love and no price you can put on passion.

And that’s why.
