Cypress Creek Logging, led by Jared Douglas and family, is proud to announce the acquisition of Dyer Logging, a respected and long-standing forestry company based in Sayward, British Columbia.

Founded in 1943, Dyer Logging has played a vital role in the forestry industry on North Vancouver Island for over 80 years. More than just a company, it has supported countless local families and helped shape the economic and cultural landscape of the region.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Edward (Ted) Arkell, whose decades of leadership have left a lasting impact on this community. Through his unwavering commitment, Ted has provided stable employment and paycheques to generations of local workers, helping hundreds of families build their lives right here in the North Island. His legacy of hard work, integrity, and community care will always be respected.

Power Saw Mechanic Services Wanted

Dyer Logging Co. Ltd. is looking for a supplier of mechanical services to maintain and repair our chain saws, pumps, and miscellaneous small engines due to the retirement of our current supplier.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in power saw mechanics and small engine repair and have their own shop. In our current arrangement the supplier held a supply of parts on consignment and billed for services rendered. We arrange drop off and pick up of units requiring work.

The position would probably suit a qualified individual who is semi retired and interested in part time work with flexibility.
