This larch had been topped years ago in an attempt to keep it growing away from the house. We always remind our clients that choosing the right tree for the right location is key when planting. Today, this one had to be removed — a real shame, as larches are unique trees that add valuable biodiversity to Calgary’s urban canopy. 🌲🏠❄️

Feels like winter just doesn’t want to let go this year ❄️ but we’re still out here pruning and getting it done.

This tree actually came our way while we were working up the street—proof that sometimes the best advertising is simply showing up and doing the work.
