Every transformation starts with proper prep. 🔨

Before the new flooring goes down and the fresh paint goes on, there’s plenty of work that needs to happen first.

For this project, we started by getting the space ready — protecting the areas that needed protection, removing what needed to go, preparing the surfaces and making sure everything was ready for the next stages.

It may not be the glamorous part of a renovation, but good prep makes all the difference in the final result.

More from this project coming soon. 👀

Puss in Boots: Supervisor on Duty. 😹 ☕

We wanted to add something a little funny to our feature-wall content!😅 The homeowner’s cat was always checking in on Rustam and his team during the renovation, so we promoted her to official site supervisor. 😂

Project approved. Supervisor off duty. ✅🐾

Rustam is passionate about creating custom feature walls, including handcrafted designs and entertainment/media walls.

💧 EXPANDING OUR SERVICES

Bergen Renovation is expanding its services to include water-damage restoration, with an IICRC-certified Water Restoration Technician (WRT) on our team.

Not every water-damage incident requires a large-scale restoration project. For smaller, localized water losses that property owners choose to address privately, our services will include:

🔹 Moisture inspection and documentation
🔹 Thermal imaging and moisture-meter readings
🔹 Identification of affected materials
🔹 Removal of water-damaged materials
🔹 Professional drying and moisture monitoring
🔹 Repairs and reconstruction of the affected space

During demolition and renovation work, we never ignore signs of hidden moisture or water damage. With specialized equipment, we can identify affected areas and take the appropriate steps to dry and restore the space properly.

Have you noticed signs of a leak, hidden moisture or localized water damage? Contact Bergen Renovation to discuss the issue and the appropriate next steps.

A little behind the scenes from a recent basement bathroom renovation. 👀🛠️

During demolition, we discovered signs of a previous water leak and some visible mold-like growth hidden behind the existing finishes.

The affected materials were removed, the area was dried using a dehumidifier and air mover, and moisture levels were monitored before the renovation continued. 💧

Bergen Renovation now has an IICRC-certified Water Restoration Technician (WRT) on the team, bringing additional knowledge in water damage assessment, drying, and moisture monitoring.

A renovation is about more than the finished look - it’s also about understanding and addressing what may be hidden behind walls, beneath flooring, or above ceilings.

Sometimes you don’t know the full story until demolition begins.

More from this bathroom transformation coming soon. ✨
