Your home is not just the house you live in, but also should be the lot you build on. The outside can be just as important as the inside of your residence.

This project we designed included a functional floor plan, and lots of natural light throughout with oversized glazing to view their very own property's outdoor highlights. We created and mapped out the site specific exterior development for their own contained views of multiple gardens, a greenhouse, plenty of lawn space, several patio spaces, interconnecting grounds walkways, multiple terraced outdoor entertaining areas, and an athletic court too.

How do you take the two important things of life and put them together into one house? Easy! You add plenty of space on all three levels for family gatherings, and you place a half-court basketball court on the second floor!!!

This family home was a wonderful experience in working with the clients to make the dwelling a home that they loved! And will love for the next generation too! Taking advantage of the lake views and lake access directly from the property with the home being on the lake was a must as well. It truly will be quite a home to enjoy with family, friends, and visitors too.

Blending two different architectural styles can be a balancing act. Almost like you're walking along a line that wants to pull you each way with each decision. This project took the parapets from century old european gables and blended the linear flat roofs of mid-century modernism.

We guess you could simply sum it up with old meets new, or new revisits old. Either way, we brought the best of both together in a blended design for this single-family dwelling.

There are many ways you can create development potential without over building. Single-story residences are a great way to keep within a project budget while still obtaining a high-end residence.

Add a proposed site with a corner lot, and you can blend unique side yards and rear yards with the design to allow for creative flexibility in site placement and spacial relations with the dwelling.

Being close to the mountains means that we have families come to us for a home away from home.

Instead of just looking at the mountains from afar within our great city, they can now have a retreat for the family in those very same mountains. Wraparound porches and many windows to immerse yourself in the outdoors while being inside make this family's mountain retreat a destination for all seasons.

A little off the top... then adding it back, and then some!

Pictures try to tell a story, but sometimes you just can't capture it all in one photo (or a few more!). But around the corner of the loft over the garage and over the entry is an amazing upper alcove of even more second floor windows for maximum natural light in every corner of this house! Walking the catwalk isle upstairs truly has you floating from the shared areas to the private principal wing of the house.

We took off a roof, added a roof, took down some walls, added some walls, and then kept this pattern through out the whole renovation process to modernize the old, and make it new!!

Let's do it! Or should we say "re-do" it?!

We took an old residence that was 60 years old, and made it into something that will be around for another 60 years! We love creating renovations that make everything look new, instead of getting trapped in a buffet of different add-ons over the years. This one is a renovation that can stand side-by-side to any of the surrounding new-builds in the area.

Even with a few hiccups along the way, we certainly love how this renovation came to life!

That’s how we describe this new development being framed right now! It also describes our two littles who are always telling us how big they are! Which is why we took them on a field trip today to see some of the magic that takes place out on-site!
