Wayne Tordon Wood Turner Wayne is a Calgary Artisan who creates handmade, custom designed, segmented wood turnings, including

Permanently closed.

Wayne has been woodworking for 30+ years, building custom furniture and cabinetry. More recently, he has been creating vessels using segmented wood turning techniques. The process consists of designing the vessel, gluing hundreds of small wood pieces together and then turning and finishing the vessel on a lathe. Wayne enjoys the challenge of imagining a finished piece, creating the plan and then letting the wood guide him to the finished product.

It's been pretty quiet in the workshop this winter. Lots of other distractions to keep Wayne occupied outside the shop! He did manage to make a couple of large salad bowls (one is sold and the other is on hold). He has also started making beautiful end grain cutting boards.
