«Ask Tuyen»

For 23 years, that has been the answer to almost every question in our shop. Which part, which order, which SKU, when it ships. Out of more than 10,000 products we make, there’s hardly one she couldn’t place.

That kind of knowledge doesn’t come from a desk. Tuyen started in our welding department on day shift, became lead hand on nights, led our shipping team, and spent her final years as Production Control Coordinator, planning and tracking the work that keeps our production moving. She learned this company from the shop floor up, one role at a time.

Today Tuyen retires, and the shop will feel different without her. We’ll miss her calm, her positivity and the way she made even the busiest days feel easier.

Tuyen, thank you for 23 years of dedication and friendship. We wish you safe travels and many great adventures ahead.

Once a part of Artistic Stairs, always a part of our story🫂🤍

We had some special visitors this week!
A group of Interior Design students from Mount Royal University joined us for a behind-the-scenes tour of Artistic Stairs & Railings.

Marc walked them through how a staircase comes to life, from the first sketch and design decisions to production in our shop and final installation. They also got an honest look at what actually shapes the cost of a staircase, from materials and design complexity to everything that happens between the drawing and the finished product.

It was a pleasure having you here! We hope the tour gave you a closer look at the industry and a little inspiration for the future 🙌🏼🤍

Most people only ever see a staircase once it’s finished. Carpet on, railings up, family photos along the wall.

This is the part nobody sees 👀

Installation Diary is our new series where we take you behind the scenes of real projects, from the first delivery to the final baluster. Part 1 is in and Part 2 is coming soon.

Same railing, two different finishes 👀

Both of these Sterling Homes Calgary show homes in Bridgeport use the same custom iron spindle pattern. One is paired with stained wood, the other with a painted finish.

Small change, but it shifts the whole feel. The stained version reads warm and grounded, almost like furniture. The painted one feels lighter and more modern, letting the black iron do most of the talking.

The pattern usually gets all the attention when people pick railings. But the finish does just as much work.

Which one would you go with? Stained or painted?

Think you need a huge entryway for a great staircase? Think again. These designs prove that small spaces can make just as big of a statement.

Save this for your next renovation inspo folder.
