It is Giving Tuesday and you know how much our community contributions mean to us at One-of-One Building Collective!

After some professional transitions this year, Stefan and I discussed which Calgary-based community initiatives we wanted to focus on. Affordable housing, women, and children were at the top of the list.

Who knew that just a few weeks later, a former client–turned–friend would reach out and introduce us to a charity they work with, one that supports every single one of these areas?

We are so happy to share that this Giving Tuesday (and many Tuesdays to come), we’re proud to support Elizabeth House Calgary, a local charity providing transitional housing, system navigation, and care coordination for pregnant women and new mothers experiencing housing instability 💜

We have been working closely with Elizabeth House, Daniel Gardner of DRG Electric Inc, our Suburban Legends team and of course our amazing friends to rework the current electrical plan in the home while adding elevated, dimmable light fixtures that create calm, functional spaces for mothers and babies.

The next phase will be thoughtful organization, furniture, and accessories to make every space feel more comfortable, functional, and supportive.
