Fresh concrete testing includes evaluating workability with slump test, air content, temperature, and unit weight, which ensures the concrete has the correct consistency, air content, and temperature for placement and curing.
After the concrete has achieved passing grades in the 'fresh' tests, a cylinder test is performed to measure the compressive strength of the concrete by applying a load to the cured cylindrical specimen until it fails.
The process involves casting and curing cylindrical concrete specimens, placing them in a hydraulic compression machine, and applying a load at a controlled rate until fracture. Typically, these tests are performed after a specified number of days of curing time are achieved. (7 & 28 days for most of our tests)
These are key quality control measures to ensure concrete meets project requirements for durability and structural integrity. πͺπββοΈ
