Great news for Albertans living in Calgary 👍
"The Alberta government is changing existing legislation to lower power utility bills in Calgary. YAY...BUT.....

Why pay the power company so much?
Why not use the power company as the back up power and not as the prime power supplier???

Install a Finis roof on all four cardinal directions of your roof. Depending on your roof size you will overproduce power!

Keep it! Don't sell it back to the grid because in Alberta the power company will limit you on how much you can sell back. Not fair.

For a Finis roof, all you need is a standard electrical permit. The power company is not involved because you're not selling power to them.

Use the generator side of your solar inverter and charge your batteries from your solar. Use ALL your power. Use our very cost effective AGM Lead Carbon batteries. Same performance characteristics as Lithium but much cheaper. Three years ago we paid $9,000 for 100A of Lithium batteries. Today these AGM Lead Carbon batteries are $850 for 250A.

Yes, they will only last you 6 to 8 years but imagine in 6 - 8 years what kind of battery technology will be available. Finis really likes https://ambri.com/. They are backed by Facebook, Google and Microsoft. They could be the big winner.

Model Certification: UL 790 - Class A Fire Testing

In Finis' process to getting model certification, one of the required testing the Finis Solar Tile (FST) will be taking is the UL 790: Class A Fire Testing

Through this required testing, our resin will be tested to find how effective the roof coverage is against severe fire test exposure.

The Finis team is feeling optimistic about the results and expects not to encounter any issues. Stay tuned for more updates to come!
