OHHH NOOOO, MR. BILL! 😮🍳

Mr. Bill thought he was just making dinner.

Unfortunately, Sluggo had other plans.

Created by Walter Williams and debuting on Saturday Night Live in 1976, Mr. Bill became one of television’s most beloved victims. Whether it was Sluggo, Spot, or a giant unseen hand, disaster was always just seconds away.

And somehow, we laughed every single time.

“Ohhh nooooo!”

My whole thing is to entertain, make people laugh and to forget about the real world for awhile.” — Dan Aykroyd

From the original Saturday Night Live cast to The Blues Brothers, Ghostbusters, and beyond, Dan Aykroyd has spent decades doing exactly that.

Making us laugh. Giving us a break from the world. And creating characters we’ll never forget.

❤️ Dan Aykroyd is a true comedy legend.

🍔 The SNL Sketch That Turned a Cheeseburger Into Comedy History

On January 28, 1978, Saturday Night Live introduced one of the most quoted sketches of the original cast era: Olympia Café.

Inspired by Chicago’s legendary Billy Goat Tavern, the sketch starred John Belushi as the loud, lovable owner Pete, whose menu had exactly three options:

“Cheeseburger! Cheeseburger!”
“No Coke. Pepsi.”
“Chips.”

That was the joke.

And somehow it never stopped being funny.

With Belushi barking orders, Dan Aykroyd working the grill, Bill Murray trying to keep up, and Gilda Radner wondering if she could order literally anything else, the sketch became an instant classic.

What looked like a simple catchphrase sketch was really a perfect slice of immigrant restaurant life, inspired by real people and real places Belushi knew growing up.

Nearly 50 years later, people still know the order by heart.

Cheeseburger. Chips. Pepsi. 🍔
