The passing of David Thauberger is a profound loss to Canadian art and to all of us at Masters Gallery.
For more than three decades, Masters Gallery had the privilege of representing David’s work and, more importantly, of knowing the generous, curious and deeply committed person behind it. His unmistakable vision transformed the familiar landscapes and architecture of the Prairies into something entirely his own, leaving an enduring mark on Canadian art.
David will be greatly missed by all of us at Masters Gallery. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, fellow artists and the many collectors and admirers whose lives have been enriched by his work.
His remarkable vision of Canada and the Prairies will endure.
