Installed a Toilet Fl**ge Extender of 1/4" or 6mm. The original Fl**ge was too low in order to create a proper Seal. The Fl**ge needs to be at least 1/4" or 6mm above finished Floor.

Canada made history by completing its first two-storey 3D-printed home on Wolfe Island near Kingston, Ontario. Built by nidus3D, the 2,300-square-foot mixed-use building was printed in just 80 hours using 3D concrete printing technology, marking a major step forward in construction innovation.

In the town of Schwyz, Switzerland, a wooden home known as Haus Bethlehem has stood since it was first built in 1287.

It is considered one of Europe’s oldest surviving residential timber-frame houses, a remarkable survivor from the Middle Ages.

The entire structure was crafted without a single metal nail. Instead, its builders used precisely fitted interlocking beams and strong wooden pegs, a testament to forgotten skills.

For hundreds of years, the house had no chimney. Smoke from the open hearth filled the home, which blackened and hardened the timbers. This smoke-curing process unintentionally preserved the wood from rot and pests. 🪵

Around 15 to 20 people once lived within its walls, their lives unfolding over generations in this simple, sturdy home.

In an incredible feat of engineering in 1540, the entire house was carefully lifted one and a half meters off the ground to add a stone cellar underneath, all without dismantling the original structure.

Today, the House of Bethlehem is part of the Ital Reding-Hofstatt museum complex, a powerful symbol of endurance, family, and tradition. 🇨🇭
