How is the smoke and fires where you are?

It is fairly smoky here this morning. The positive, it isn’t quite so hot. And it makes for interesting lighting in photos.

Harvested peas and romaine this morning. Do you think it is too late to start more lettuce from seed?

Home harvested chamomile tea tastes NOTHING like store bought.

It is 100 times better. So much more of the pineapple flavour.

I know this plant can be invasive, but I am taking my chances.

Borage is a herb that grows easily in the zone 3 gardening climate. It has many benefits and uses. Pollinators are a huge fan of borage!

Indoor planting reminder!

Zinnias, cilantro and nasturtiums can also be direct sown.

I added melons to this list, but really about mid April seems to be the perfect time to start those indoors for me. I find they grow much slower than squash.
