Bowness Net Zero Project
This exterior was built with 2β continuous exterior insulation to help reduce heat loss and improve the overall energy efficiency of the home. We also installed strapping behind the siding, creating a drainage and ventilation space that allows moisture to drain and dry instead of getting trapped behind the exterior.
The home is also equipped with solar panels and EV charging. Net Zero means the home is designed to be highly energy efficient and produce as much energy as it uses over the course of a year.
Thereβs a lot more behind a Net Zero exterior than what you see when itβs finished. The insulation, moisture management, ventilation space, solar system, and overall wall assembly all work together to create a more energy efficient, durable, and comfortable home.
Great project to be part of in Bowness.
