Friday fact: Thoughtful friends are so essential. The other day my good friend gave us a scare and was on brink of dying. Even with all that occuring and being on deaths door, he was so generous that he pulled out his epi pen and gave it to me... it must of meant a lot to him that I have it. 💚

On the topic of good friends... we brought this 1960's long atomic style beauty back to its original state and performed a full rebuild (including new foam/fabric). This midcentury modern sofa can be yours, find it at the awesome .ca

Day 5 and final antique post (saving best for last). This "King" antique chair was absolutely mind blowing to see in person. 400 years old. The sheer skill required to carve wood into such a masterpiece of art and function.

As with the previous antique items, this was also a full rebuild (springs repair, twine, foam, wood repair, hundreds of hand placer tacks and fabric).

Continuing with day 2 of the antique project posts... These dining chairs were as well a full rebuild/repair (some spring repair, twine, foam, wood repair and beautiful fabric).

There was one pair of armed and one of armless dining chairs.

Over the next few days, we will make an individual post for some spectacular pieces we recently completed for a client. (All out of same collection). Some of these pieces are 400 year old works of art, hence why they deserve their own posts.

Our clients requested a very strong and durable, floral print fabric. Similar to the original. We not only changed the fabric but had to perform a major rebuild on some of the items as well.

Let me know you thoughts on this but with the state of affairs in the world, I am growing in uncertainty. Lately I have lost my trust in stairs.... it seems they are always up to something. 🤔

Our clients wanted a durable fabric that would be easy to clean for their dining chairs.

The backrest did not have much support so we built it up with new foam as well as replaced the foam on the seats.

We always strive to exceed customer expectations and are very grateful for each and everyone that has trusted us with their items.

Our client’s Grandfather hand carved all the wood on the frame of this beautiful Antique chair and ottoman.

We replaced the straw and horse hair that was originally in the seat and rebuilt it with new foam and jute webbing.

As you may of noticed, we like jokes and have plenty of them. We even have jokes about the unemployed, unfortunately though.... none of them seem to work.

Something that does definitely work, are these MCM Erik Buch Dining Chairs. They received new foam and were reupholstered in .Calgary

Our client grew up sitting in these beautiful chairs. They have been in her family for over 100 years!

They requested for us to try and match the original fabric so they would look exactly like they did when she was growing up. We found .calgary ANDES #813 Neptune which was a super close match.

We strengthened the seat deck and replaced the foam.

Given we live right beside the beautiful Rockies, I try to tell people who visit from out of town, mountains aren't funny... they're hill areas.

Our clients wanted to update the fabric on their glider chair and ottoman. They requested that the seat & headrest be brought back to life and original comfort.

So we did them up with this cozy (&mountainy🗻) eclectic designed fabric.
