One of the most common mistakes is designing around the island as a centrepiece rather than as a working part of the kitchen. For most projects we take on, the budget tends to break down across four main areas: structure and systems (framing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing), millwork and cabinetry, finishes and fixtures, and design and project coordination. The proportions shift depending on the project - a kitchen-focused renovation will weight more toward millwork, while a full home transformation includes significant structural and mechanical work.

After completing this client’s kitchen renovation and main floor transformation last year, Kavaleer Renovations has been invited back to help reimagine their outdoor living space.
