Front Step Repair — Before & After

This front step had significant deterioration around the parging, with damaged sections and exposed masonry underneath.

Sandy Solutions repaired the damaged areas and resurfaced the affected sections, giving the front entrance a much cleaner, finished appearance.

Front Step Repair — Before & After

This front step had seen better days.

Sections of the parging had deteriorated, exposing the masonry underneath and leaving several areas cracked, broken and heavily weathered.

Sandy Solutions repaired the damaged areas and resurfaced the affected sections with parging mix, giving the entrance a much cleaner, finished appearance.

Not every damaged concrete or masonry surface needs to be completely torn out and replaced. Depending on the condition of the existing surface, a targeted repair may be a practical option.

The finished floor gets the attention. The preparation is what makes the job.

This St. Catharines floor started with a heavily worn concrete surface and significant remnants of the previous coating.

Before applying the new system, we mechanically prepared the concrete using a Husqvarna PG 280 floor grinder paired with dust extraction.

We worked through the existing surface to remove the failing material and create a properly prepared concrete substrate for the coating system.

This is the part of the job you don’t see in the final reveal — but it’s one of the most important parts of the entire installation.

At Sandy Solutions, we don’t believe in shortcuts when it comes to concrete preparation.

This floor had a lot of work ahead of it.

Our recent St. Catharines residential project started with a heavily worn concrete floor with extensive surface deterioration and remnants of the previous coating.

The goal wasn’t to cover the problems — it was to properly prepare the concrete and build the new floor from the substrate up.

That meant mechanical surface preparation, dust-controlled grinding, thorough cleaning and getting the concrete ready for the coating system.
