The hustle is on. This fence was a delay from last year because the ground was too dry to put fence posts in as it was later in the summer already.

This client let us know when the snow was gone this year and shortly after we put fence posts in (in April still) and we realized how dry the ground already was. We got posts in and jumped to a couple other clients to get posts in there and then we came back to this one to do the wire, boards and gates.

To our clients: THANK YOU for your patience!! We 100% understand how frustrating it must be for you at times with us seemingly dragging our feet. We promise that’s not the case. We hate how long it sometimes takes to get a job 100% completed and we feel so guilty about it. At the end of the day, there are only so many hours in a day and we are very much a “mom and pop” business which means we’ve got our young kids to take care of on top of everything. We are working on getting them trained to help us and they are loving that…this means jobs will speed up as they get old enough to actually be officially employed by Iron River Contracting 😜

Huge thanks to Kohut's Tree Service! If we put the work into a fence for a client, we look at more than just getting the fence built. If there are trees we feel could be problematic in the near future, we feel it’s our duty to see if the client would be ok to get those problem trees out before we spend our time and their money to build them a fence. Our client pointed this one out as it was leaning towards the house…not an ideal situation at all!
We met Mark, chatted about our project (and learnt some neat tree facts) and he got this property ready for us to carry on with. As well as giving her peace of mind for the next big wind storm!

Our page has been very quiet but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy! Heads down, move forward.

When we make a schedule, it’s guaranteed to change. We roll with the punches the best we can. Currently, we stopped fencing for a few days because we had a full load of totes spoken for and with the fence posts we’ve put in the last couple of weeks, we’re seeing very dry ground. So getting totes felt important.

We’ve picked up a dump trailer to help with clean up jobs, no more waiting on other people’s schedules (we can’t keep our own schedule straight 😂), recovering from a trigger finger release surgery so painting and flooring is put off for a little bit, fence posts are going in, spring cleaning (for clients) is in the works…we are always on the go and appreciate the patience our clients have extended our way. You are what keeps us going!!
