Can you identify this towering invasive plant? Swipe to see if you’re right, or check out the hints below.

🌿 It can grow up to six metres tall.

⚠️ Its phototoxic sap poses a serious threat of burns to people

This is one of many invasive species managed by our qualified Plant Health Care team. In addition to supporting the properties we regularly maintain, we provide specialized services for residential and municipal landscapes throughout the Lower Mainland.

From common nuisances like Himalayan blackberry to more concerning species like Japanese knotweed and this invasive, our team manages a wide range of invasive plants and insect pests.

Landscaping does more than transform the way your property looks. It can influence how a space feels, functions, and is experienced every day.

From supporting property value and safer communities to improving the environment and creating healthier outdoor spaces, thoughtful landscaping has an impact that goes well beyond appearance.

With quality installation and consistent professional maintenance, we help keep those benefits growing for the long term.

Every journey starts somewhere.
For Para Space, it began in 1979 with humble beginnings and a commitment to creating great landscapes.

Over the past 47 years, that commitment has grown through meaningful milestones—from our first seminar and landscape award to giving back through our Day of Service and investing in the next generation through our first in-house landscaping career fair.

47 years of excellence, growth, and a commitment to shaping better landscapes and stronger communities.

Here’s to the milestones behind us and the many more ahead.

A recognition of nearly 20 years of dedication.

We’re proud to be named the Winner of the Home Depot Award for Commercial Landscape Maintenance for our work at Avila & Bauhinia in Vancouver’s Coal Harbour.

For nearly 20 years, we’ve adapted and evolved the landscape as site conditions changed. From replacing declining lawns with perennial beds to adjusting irrigation and maintenance practices around increasingly strict watering restrictions, we’ve continued to find solutions that keep the landscape thriving.

We’re proud to see the dedication, adaptability, and long-term commitment of our team recognized with this award.

Our team recently took part in a Dry Stream Seminar, exploring new techniques and expanding our understanding of this distinctive landscape element.

At Para Space, we’re proud to invest in our people and provide opportunities that help our team grow, innovate, and deliver exceptional landscapes for our clients.

We recently hosted our 3rd In-House Job Fair, welcoming experienced professionals, recent graduates, and emerging leaders to explore career paths and gain an inside look at life at Para Space.

The event featured interactive stations highlighting our divisions, including irrigation, plant health care, landscape maintenance, and landscape services. Participants toured our nursery yard, warehouse, and operations while learning about our signature training and development programs, including On-the-Job Training (OJT), Future Leaders, and Mentorship, which support continuous learning and career growth.

The day also featured a mocktail and snack station, along with a landscape-themed game for a chance to win prizes. It was a great opportunity to connect with our team and learn more about the pathways available at Para Space.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make our 3rd In-House Job Fair a success. We look forward to connecting with talented individuals who are ready to grow with our team.
